AANHPI Entrepreneur Spotlight: Self-Care

Bonblissity — As a former dental hygienist who washed her hands often, founder Elissa Choi sought to create a moisturizing dream product for her sensitive hands. Thus Bonblissity was born.

Butter and Me — On a mission to find the perfect solution for her husband's pesky eczema, Vivian Wong developed her own formulas for soaps and lotions using clean ingredients, sustainable packaging, and whimsical designs.

FaceTory — This clean beauty brand was founded by Chan Ho Park and Sang Lee. Their masks and other products are researched and envisioned in California, and formulated in South Korea.

Honey Belle — Inspired by her parents who are holistic doctors, founder Iris Cherng set out to develop natural and affordable skincare to treat her own psoriasis, eventually developing a line of eco-luxe, multi-tasking, clean and green skincare products made to nurture and restore the natural beauty of all skin types.

LAPCOS — Founded by Cindy Lee, a serial entrepreneur and trailblazer in K-beauty and fashion. During her travels to Korea, she saw first-hand the growing popularity of Korean-made skincare and cosmetics, which, at the time, weren’t widely accessible back in the States. Inspired to share her culture’s knowledge and expertise that has made it the beauty capital of the world, she founded LAPCOS, a line of high performance, cruelty-free self-care products.

Mount Lai — Inspired by holistic esthetician Stephanie Zheng's grandmother, a lifelong practitioner of Traditional Chinese beauty rituals. For over 50 years, she used jade rolling and gua sha as a way to maintain her skin and well-being, treating these rituals as moments of calm in her daily routine. Stephanie founded Mount Lai to bring these centuries-old practices to a new generation.

Mumu Bath — When founder Sasha Chou's baby developed eczema, she had trouble find just the right gentle soap, and so decided to create her own. Hence the creation of Mumu Bath, products that capture the essence of her Taiwanese heritage. 

Everydaze — An AAPI-founded lifestyle brand that focuses on providing effortless and enlightening self-care and beauty routine.

Baisun Candles — Translated from Chinese as "to pray for one’s ancestors," Baisun was founded by Brandon Leung in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, in the hopes of reconnecting with his heritage and culture.

Scrumptious Wicks Candles — Founded by Sonya Malani (who balances running a small business with being a full-time optometrist and a mom), these South Asian-inspired candles are hand-poured, vegan, and made with sustainable and recyclable materials.
